How We Source Our Meat

We source some of the highest-quality meats on the market!


Our chicken is from Mary's Free-Range Chicken - local and pasture raise. 

Our pork and is from Coleman All Natura Pork


With no antibiotics added - ever - and sustainable and humane agricultural practices, these meats are better for your health and better for the environment. Win win!


Both are family-owned and made with a lot of love. These are the ethical and sustainable practices we encourage and abide by at Zaida's Kitchen!

How We Prepare Our Meats

Carnitas (slow-braised pork) and Jackfruit Carnitas (v) are braised with dried Mexican oregano, cumin, and cloves, as well as Oaxacan mixed chile powder and other spices, cinnamon sticks, and plenty of citrus! The carnitas are made with boneless, skinless pork butt or shoulder.


Our Homemade Pork Chorizo  is crafted with all your favorites - oregano, cumin, cloves, garlic, and chili powder, as well as marjoram and lime juice. Irresistible! The chorizo is made with boneless, ground pork butt or shoulder.
